"While growing up in Philadelphia, I had the priveledge of jamming with older musicians and younger musicians. There has always been a tradition here of getting together and "Shedding". In this song, I tried to capture the feeling of the infamous "Philly jam sessions" from the 8os and early 90s. Numerous musicians and singers would convene at a church, or open location, and play skillfully for hours! I got a chance to experience music in a way that has molded my journey, as well as developed my passion for contemporary jazz!
